ePangea, in a Nutshell
The Mission
Connect all our knowledge. Empower all our people. Bringing commonality back to our senses and defusing any possible conflicts before they ever arise through the power of respectful, inclusive, and equitable dialogue. In short, help us grow strong enough to define our own unique meaning, purpose and intentions while being considerate of our environment and all living things within it.
The Vision
One family, one home, connected through a shared understanding. An understanding that is cultivated via rich, meaningful, inclusive, collaborative and intuitive theoretical and experiential learning - forever freely accessible, to anyone anywhere, and at any time.
The Tool: The Life Management Body of Knowledge (LMBoK)
The LMBoK is a set of modules that make up the ePangea engine; a state-of-the-art, intuitive and human-centric learning tool that is freely accessible to anyone, anywhere and at anytime. It is a theoretical and tentative snapshot of our human faculties, translated into content areas that are broken down into an individual's developmental stages, to help us navigate and nurture our physiological and intellectual growth by selecting what, when and how to best learn anything that we care to learn (andor further develop, grow andor improve).
It is a platform to be maintained by everyone. At least, everyone who cares to learn andor to share knowledge about anything we have thus far discovered as a human collective (which given sufficient generations for everyone to realize both the individual and collective benefits of such a tool, will hopefully by then be, absolutely everyone). Why settle for an encyclopedia when we can collaborate on creating the best learning tool ever created? Google's motto is to do just that - but a monopoly on knowledge is not something humanity should be willing to accept.
As the same is currently being said about AI needing to be Open Source (updated Q1 2024), human learning too should be Open Source. See the section below for the proposed framework.
The LMBoK Framework
An intuitive interface that permits users to determine the plausible questions that they could explore and discover, which they would not otherwise know to ask (to know about things that they did not know they did not know)
A set of databases populated by all humans everywhere, translated in all languages on the fly leveraging existing systems such as Google and Bing translators (which continue to improve exponentially over time).
An open source search engine with up-to-the-minute (real-time) accuracy, leveraging data mining and machine/deep/neural learning (AI) algorithms for content validation, verification, automation and optimization; these algorithms weigh the value of a "knowledge chunk" based on various attributes such as usability, applicability, dependability, source reputation, user demographic, peer reviews and overall credibility rating.
A set of blockchain ledgers for long term tracking, transparency and accountability of all modifications made.
A set of avatars that facilitate creativity and artefact creation, assessing and tracking individual progress with no room for manipulation or bypassing the need to demonstrate the embodiment of the lesson, helping the learner drive their personal growth in their own way and at their own pace.
A collaboration module to match learners from around the world based on their immediate interests and ability levels, with security measures in place to avoid any type of misuse or abuse.
A set of identifiable, measurable and demonstrable skills and attributes that permit project managers (employers) to quickly identify potential candidates for interviews and pinpoint any professional development needs within the same system, ready to be accessed, learned and demonstrated by the candidate, through the same platform and for absolutely free.
